FLOWERS FOR MONICA CHARLES
Thank you for your friendship, help and encouragement!
All of these photos were taken at Botanical Garden and Azalea Park in Brookings/Harbor, Oregon.
MUCH NEEDED REST
I took off from the heat in Medford and headed to see some good friends in Eddyville. I thought I would do some sightseeing but I was lazy and slept. Alot ! I think one day I slept 12 hours another night 9 and 8…it was great. I got my hands in the dirt and helped with weeds. While you can hear the highway half a mile away you can’t see another house…a very nice change. Part of me wanted to stay another day but I new I would have a lot to get ready for work…I want to go to Montana sometime next month.
I had to download the palm pilot that I use for work and had quite a time because while their old house is in excellent condition they have old phone line equipment…still have a rotary phone….and the plugins for the phone are 3 prongs and not the little square thing that we see today. You have to have an adapter….
This phone is wired to the wall so it will be there forever but I set up some new wireless phones for them.
lots of pretty pretty flowers
I was reading a book that said you can make sumac tea from the berries of this tree when they ripen. Like lemonade! (But only this type of sumac others are poisonous!!!!)
the prettiest flower of all is my friend Dianne she is one of those eternally positive people…except when you cross her family…
